Following her exit from Wimbledon at the hands of Amanda Anisimova, Sabalenka avoided a redo of her infamous meltdown after her loss to Coco Gauff in the final of the French Open.

World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka was shown the exit door at Wimbledon in the semifinals by Amanda Anisimova, who registered a 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 triumph against the Belarusian on Centre Court at SW19 on Friday.
Sabalenka expressed her frustration with certain gimmicks from the American, which irked her during the three-setter, however, she avoided a redo of her infamous media meltdown following her defeat to Coco Gauff in the final of the French Open 2025 at the Roland Garros where she stated that the American was able to clinch the title due to her poor showing on the day. Sabalenka later apologised for the same.

“Are you guys waiting for something? You’re not going to see the Roland Garros press conference, so anyone who was waiting for that, you can leave right now,” she jested.
Sabalenka opined that it isn’t unusual for players to be overcome by emotions following testing defeats and that she had to compose herself before she stepped into the room for media duties following her exit from the 2025 edition of the grass-court Grand Slam.
“I just don’t want to face that hate again. We all can lose control over our emotions. It’s absolutely normal,” she said reflecting on her rant after the defeat at RG.
“Every time when I was really that close today to completely lose it and start yelling, screaming, smashing the racquets, I kept reminding myself that’s not an option, and it’s not going to help me to stay in the match and to fight for my dream,” she divulged.
“Even right now I took a bit more time before doing my media just so I can be Aryna, not that crazy person that been on that media day at Roland Garros,” she revealed.

And in a wisecrack before she walked out of the media room, Sabalenka couldn’t help but take a dig at the reporters as she uttered, “Ha, ha, ha, you didn’t get anything.”
