Former WWE women’s champion Rhea Ripley has tied the knot with Australian wrestler Buddy Matthews, who is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The couple had been in a relationship, which came to light in 2022. They got engaged in August last year. Ripley and Matthews exchanged vows on June 23 and the WWE superstar shared the news of their marriage via a post on Instagram. Dominik Mysterio, who has been in an on-screen relationship with Ripley, expressed his love for the newlyweds, dropping two black hearts and a raised hand emoji in the comments.

Ripley uploaded a picture from her wedding album. She was captured kissing her husband Matthews, twinning in black nuptial outfits. In the photo, the bride can be seen holding a bouquet in her hands, with the theme song of The Addams Family playing in the background. Ripley highlighted her wedding date in the caption and wrote, “Till Death.”

Dominik, a prominent face on Monday Night RAW, has been associated with Ripley since she convinced him to join The Judgment Day. The duo, however, has not been seen together on WWE for a long time. Ripley has been recovering from an injury that forced her to vacate the Women’s World Championship. She had sustained an injury on her shoulder due to an attack by current champion Liv Morgan. The incident unfolded on a post-WrestleMania episode of RAW. Morgan thrashed Ripley into a wall, hurting the AC joint between her collarbone and right shoulder. Ripley is yet to confirm when she will be able to return to action.

In Ripley’s absence from the circuit, Morgan is trying her best to replace the WWE star as a member of The Judgment Day. Morgan has recently been spotted with Dominik on several occasions. She appeared at the ringside when The Judgment Day faced The Awesome Truth in a World Tag Team title match on an episode of Monday Night RAW. Morgan caused a distraction during the fight which helped Finn Balor beat R-Truth to win the championship.

Dominik was present at the arena but did not compete in the title match. After The Judgment Day became the champions, Mysterio came up on the stage and celebrated the victory with Carlito and Damian Priest.
