The eVX will be the first all-electric offering from Maruti Suzuki and it will likely be launched in early or mid 2025 in India

Maruti Suzuki display the eVX concept at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 more recently, following its debut at the 2023 Auto Expo and it also greeted the show-goers at the Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo late last year. The eVX holds plenty of significance for Suzuki as it will be the brand’s first all-electric model for the international and local markets.

The brand is actively testing the eVX prototypes ahead of its Indian market launch which is expected in early to mid-2025. Here we have attached a set of clear spy pictures indicating the evolution of the test mules to a close-to-production state. The midsize electric SUV will lock horns with the forthcoming Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv, Citroen Basalt EV, Mahindra XUV400, MG ZS EV, and much more as the segment will be stacked with new models over the next two years.

Underpinned by a derivative of Toyota’s 27PL skateboard platform, the Maruti Suzuki eVX could be sold in 40 kWh and 60 kWh battery options. It will reportedly offer a driving range of up to 550 km per charge. The eVX will likely feature fast charging and Vehicle-to-Load capabilities. Furthermore, it could be available with both single and dual electric motor configurations.

On the outside, the Maruti Suzuki eVX will come with a charging port mounted on the front fender and the overall styling will certainly be toned down compared to the concept. It will be equipped with newly designed alloy wheels, sharp LED headlamps and LED DRLs, rear door handles mounted on the pillars, a brand new dash and centre console amongst others.

The interior of the eVX will see a major overhaul compared to the existing range of Maruti Suzuki PVs. It will feature a floating touchscreen infotainment system ranging from 10 to 12 inches, an all-digital instrument console, a heads-up display, wireless smartphone charger, multi-speaker audio and an automatic climate control system.
