Here we have listed the five upcoming sedans that are expected to launch in India in 2024 as big updates are seemingly in the pipeline
Carmakers like Maruti Suzuki, Skoda, Citroen, Honda and Toyota are believed to bring in new sedans over the next twelve months in India and here we have explained about them:
1. New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Dzire:
Taking significant design cues from the new-gen Swift expected in early 2024, the upcoming Dzire will boast a new powertrain and an updated interior as well. It will be equipped with the new 1.2L Z-series mild-hybrid petrol engine, which will be connected to a manual or an automatic transmission. The all-new Dzire is rumoured to debut in H2 2024.
2. Skoda Superb:
Skoda globally debuted the fourth generation Superb last month with evolutionary alterations to its exterior while boasting larger proportions. It is sold with PHEV and mild hybrid engine options abroad and it could arrive in India only in the near future as the well-known third-generation Superb will first make a comeback in H1 2024.
3. Toyota Camry Facelift:
Revealed recently, the updated exterior of the new Toyota Camry incorporates a new front end with subtle inputs from the Crown sedan and both have a lot in common on the inside as well. We do expect it to launch in India in late 2024 or in early 2025 with the same petrol/hybrid combination.
4. Citroen C3X:
Spied testing already, the Citroen C3X crossover sedan will borrow the powertrain and features list from the C3 Aircross. It will boast a fastback roofline and the rear will have a new design compared to its midsize SUV sibling. It will take on Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. The 1.2L turbo three-cylinder petrol engine will be paired with a six-speed manual transmission and an AT could join the lineup later.
5. New-Gen Honda Amaze:
Anticipated to be globally unveiled in 2024, the redesigned Honda Amaze is set to go head-to-head with the upcoming Dzire. Drawing significant inspiration from Honda’s sedan lineup available in the international markets, it will gain a more upmarket cabin too reportedly. However, the tried-and-tested VTEC petrol engine will stay put.
