In the initial months of 2024, Toyota could unveil a new compact SUV coupe, essentially a rebadged iteration of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. Positioned above the Glanza premium hatchback, this five-seater is set to feature a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0L turbo petrol engine, complemented by manual and automatic transmission options. It will have subtle exterior and interior differences compared to the Fronx.

2. Toyota Fortuner & Hilux Mild-Hybrid:

Toyota has officially introduced the mild-hybrid version of the Hilux in Europe, with plans to make it available in numerous other markets. The Fortuner, Toyota’s full-size SUV counterpart, is also set to receive this technology, promising lower emissions, better performance, and increased fuel economy. Enthusiasts can look forward to the inclusion of the mild-hybrid system in the India-specific models sometime next year.

3. Toyota Electric SUV:

Toyota’s first electric SUV for the Indian market will adopt a badge engineering approach, sharing many features with the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX. Despite having distinct appearances, both models are anticipated to offer single and dual motor configurations in two battery pack options. The expected drive range is over 550 km on a single charge for the top-spec trim. A global debut is projected for next year, preceding the Indian market launch scheduled for 2025.

4. Toyota Camry Hybrid Facelift:

The updated Toyota Camry debuted globally at the 2023 LA Auto Show, showcasing a redesigned front end inspired by the latest Crown model. In the United States, it will exclusively offer a 2.5L petrol/hybrid configuration. If launched in India, it is expected to maintain the same setup upon its likely introduction either late next year or in 2025. The new Camry will get new features and technologies inside the cabin as well.
